ICT & Media Design

Trends and developments:

I explored platforms like OnePageLove and watched YouTube tutorials, which provided valuable inspiration for my work. I also followed HTML and CSS tutorials on YouTube to learn how to incorporate specific features into my portfolio, helping me create a more refined and functional design.

Iterative process:

Our team embraced an iterative design methodology, where each member created their own Figma prototype. This allowed us to consider different design viewpoints and collaborate to improve the website’s interface. In addition, following a user study that involved interviewing a teacher about the university's room booking system, we discovered the need for an app that shows available rooms. Based on this input, we refined the app's interface to enhance its usability, ensuring the final design aligned well with user expectations.

Interactive prototypes:

Our team reviewed various League of Legends and Valorant coaching websites to study how gaming coaching platforms design their user interfaces. This analysis introduced us to effective design practices like minimalist aesthetics, responsive layouts, and engaging interactive features. Using these insights, we aimed to create a prototype that was clean, user-friendly, and incorporated responsive elements.

I also made an interactive prototype for my school project, learning outcomes and personal portfolio.

This came out good but I should have made a paper prototype first before making it interactive.

Target group:

Using the insights gathered from the survey results, I was able to conduct a detailed user study, which provided valuable information about user needs and preferences. This process enabled me to create a comprehensive persona that accurately represented our target audience and guided our design decisions.
